How to best cope during a pandemic

Adults

Stay busy. Make use of virtual cultural enrichment opportunities (virtual museum tours, concerts, etc.). Find a new or revive an old hobby. Take care of projects that you've not had time to do previously, and set and maintain a schedule for yourself.

Children

Children need to stay active and engaged. Try to find activities that are both physical and creative. Children respond well to stability and predictability. Try to set up and maintain a routine.

Couples

Maintain a healthy dialog and be supportive. Allow each other to have some space, mentally and physically.

Isolation

Practice self-care. Maintain contact with friends and family. Reach out for help whenever you need it. Help is always available.

Curbside pharmacy is still in effect until further notice. Drop off your prescriptions and pick them up 24-hours later.

Current Pharmacy hours are: M-W, F 8:00 a.m. – 12-noon and 1:00 p.m. – 4:15 p.m.  and Thursday 9:00 a.m. – 12-noon and 1:00 p.m. – 4:15 p.m.

AD may get their prescriptions 7:30-8:00 a.m. M-F inside. Otherwise, the pharmacy inside is only available for those patients who saw a provider the same day for an acute appointment. The Curbside Pharmacy is closed for all Federal Holidays and minimal manning days.

Screening Process: Everyone is required to wear a mask upon entering the facility (we do not have enough masks to provide them for everyone). Everyone before entering will be screened (have temperature checked and asked current screening questions). Please remain patient and considerate with the Soldiers at the entrance performing this task.

Limited Movement: RWBAHC has designated one entry and exit point into the facility and we ask that you only go where needed within our clinic. This is to try to protect you and our own team members by limiting possible contacts and exposures. Please help us with these protective measures for everyone’s safety.

Many of our services continue through virtual care, like telehealth or WebVisit. Some of these appointment types include requesting prescription renewals, follow-up appointments, and referral requests. Telehealth appointments only work, though, if you are willing to connect. If you are expecting a call from your provider team, please turn off your phone’s blocking mechanism, and please answer if the caller ID says unknown or restricted. Many of our providers are calling from their personal phones.

Face-to-face appointments are limited to wellness exams, physicals and acute illness and injuries (issues that appear suddenly and need immediate treatment but can be short-lived if the patient gets the right care from a medical professional).

If you’re not feeling well, please call before you come to the clinic, or the ER or Urgent care. We can direct you then as to whether or not we should test you for COVID-19 at our off-site location, or if we can see you in the clinic, or maybe we can help over the phone.

The MISC designed procedures specifically to reduce the number of students in the waiting room at any one time and to separate out injury versus illness-related appointments. 

1. At 0445, initial check-in of acute patients will begin.
2. At 0700-1330, in person appointments can be made (no appointments over phone).
