Lab Tests & Radiology
Laboratory Services
The Laboratory Division supports the team by presenting health care providers with valuable information used in clinical decision making. The laboratory performs a variety of routine and complex analytical tests in the disciplines of chemistry, hematology, coagulation, microbiology and urinalysis, as well as phlebotomy services. Beneficiaries will experience longer wait times for results for testing that is completed outside of RWBAHC by reference labs.
Active Duty can walk-in and request medical protection system (MEDPROS) labs, to include Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and Sickle Cell Screening.
Radiology (X-rays)
The Radiology Division provides high quality diagnostic imaging to active duty and retired military members, and their family members. Diagnostic plain film radiography studies are provided for patients of all ages, from infants to geriatric adults patients. Radiology’s patients are also referred from other healthcare providers and services within our servicing area. We do not accept self-referrals.
Mammography, Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy, Computed Tomography/Positron Emission Tomography (CT/PET), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Nuclear Medicine, and interventional radiology procedures are not available at RWBAHC. See the “
Off Post Imaging Services” publication for information on how to complete those procedures with a referral from your PCM.
